The complex nature of these timepieces and our incredibly high standards necessitate a timeframe for a complete service being provided at the time of the Service Assessment. In rare instances, the availability of parts needed for certain repairs can impact total lead times.

After your watch has been assessed, your quote may list both Necessary Works and Optional Works. Necessary Works are essential for returning your timepiece to its original, reliable working order. Optional Works consist of non-essential procedures we believe may benefit your timepiece, including cosmetic improvements.

Unwanted superficial marks can be removed by gently cleaning your timepiece with a microfibre cloth. For waterproof watches, it can also be helpful to occasionally wash the bracelet and case with soapy water and a soft-bristle brush. Please note, to prevent water ingress, take special care to ensure the winding crown is properly secured.
Refinishing is a professional polishing process that can remove scratches and dents, restoring your timepiece’s original appearance by reapplying the original finish. Due to the complex nature of this process, it should only ever be undertaken by an Official Service Centre like Boutellier Montres.
Yes, there is an option to include a refinishing process on all complete overhauls – but we can remove this process if you elect not to have it done for any reason.
